2 ‑ Casual ‑ Clerk IV
Operating Room
Under the general direction of the Manager ‑ Perioperative Services and guidance of the Perioperative Coordinator
or designate, the Clerk IV performs receptionist and clerical duties for the Operating Room as required.
Qualifications:
* Secondary school diploma with a certificate in Secretarial Arts/Office Administration or equivalent experience (1
year minimum)
* Minimum 2 years recent experience (during past 5 years) in the Perioperative setting
Administrative and computer skills to include spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications (MS Word,
Excel, GroupWise, Meditech OR Module)
* Must possess good interpersonal skills including an excellent customer focused approach to patients and families.
Superior interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, and telephone)
* Radiates a positive attitude and collaborative approach to interprofessional colleagues
* Knowledge of booking processes and requirements
* Previous demonstrated experience using Community Wide Scheduling for booking purposes
* Demonstrated superior knowledge generating technical reports from multiple data sources
* Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and standard abbreviations particularly in the Perioperative field
* Highly motivated & organized individual with the ability to prioritize activities independently in a high stress
environment
* Excellent problem solving ability related to technical systems and potential process flow improvements
Salary Range: $25.260 to 25.838
