1 ‑ Full Time ‑ Executive Assistant

Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture, with a matrix report to Executive Office Manager, the Executive
Assistant is essential to the success of the People & Culture portfolio. This position offers a dynamic work
environment and suits someone who enjoys administrative work, has excellent attention to detail, is a master of time
management, is perceptive and is a collaborative team player interested in enhancing the staff experience in service
to our patients and families.
This position is a great opportunity to share a passion for supporting our Hospital. This position requires a dynamic
individual who enjoys a variety of task based responsibilities, yet is able to thrive within a people focused, free
thinking environment. As a point of contact for staff, directors, managers and other executives across the North West
region, this individual's energy, pride and professionalism sets the tone and further enhances the employee and
client experience, and ultimately patient experience.
In a fast paced environment, where new situations arise in the office daily requiring quick decisions and immediate
action, the Executive Assistant will be expected to stretch their administrative capabilities beyond the job description
to tackle the unexpected. This individual will have to think on their feet, learn how to diffuse difficult situations, and
most importantly make people feel valued. They do this by having great listening skills and practicing empathy.
The complexities of the portfolio requires the individual to continuously look for new ways to lend support, or make
improvements to benefit existing processes or tasks and support the success of the organization. They will be
expected to contribute their own ideas that will build and nurture a workplace where employees and teams can thrive
Employment Requirements:
Education/Experience:
* Degree or Diploma in Office Administration or a Business discipline or Human Resources
* Five years Executive Administrative experience or business experience is desirable
* Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with accuracy
* Regular work attendance and the ability to work flexible hours are required
Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills and a strong sense of professionalism
* Is expected to think independently and problem solve where challenging situations can unexpectedly arise requiring
quick decisions and immediate action
* Proficiencies in a wide range of business software including such programs as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Smartsheet, Visio, Virtuo, and Groupwise
* A positive contributor of ideas and approaches toward building and nurturing a workplace where employees and
teams can thrive
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize and meet deadlines, and work independently and with
members within the executive support team and portfolio
* Has interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals from various and diverse backgrounds, both within
and outside of organization
* Is a self‑starter, has initiative required to act under minimal supervision

Salary Range: $33.221 to 39.083
