About the role:

The Surgical clinical Reviewer's chief responsibility is to collect and submit reliable data to the American College of
Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP). This is accomplished through high quality
data compilation, documentation and entry into the ACS NSQIP database of all eligible surgeries for the hospital.
The SCR works closely with members of the Department of Surgery to identify opportunities for clinical quality
improvement and other special projects may be identified.
Employment Requirements
* Post secondary diploma/certificate in Secretarial Arts/Office Administration or equivalent experience (1 year
minimum)
* Minimum 2 years recent experience (during past 5 years) in a Perioperative setting.
* Ability to build relationships and gain team and administrative staff support in a professional courteous manner.
* Radiates a positive attitude and collaborative approach to Interprofessional colleagues.
* Superior interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, keyboard, telephone)
* Administrative and computer skills to include spreadsheets, word processing, and database application (MS Word,
Excel, Publisher, Groupwise and Meditech)
* Demonstrated superior knowledge with Meditech Information Systems.
* Expert knowledge demonstrated generating technical reports from multiple data souces.
* Data quality auditing experience.
* Knowledge of ICD‑10 coding is an asset.
* Demonstrated excellent time management skills
* Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and abbreviations particularly in the
Perioperative field.
* Highly motivated and organized individual with the ability to prioritize activities independently.
* Excellent problem solving ability related to technical systems and potential process flow improvement.
* Regular attendance at work is imperative, therefore, all applicants will have to demonstrate a good attendance
record to be considered for this position.
Salary Range: $30.656 to 31.332
