                                                                     1 ‑ Part Time (.5) ‑ Float ‑ RN

                                                                      Hemodialysis Thunder Bay

 

**Float = this position does not have a master rotation.

Reporting to the Manager ‑ Renal Services, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients

including complex patient populations whose outcomes are not predictable. As part of a multidisciplinary health care

team, you will practice within the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Philosophy and Values of

Nursing Services and the policies of the Health Sciences Centre.

 

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

*  Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario

*  Current certification in BCLS

*  Preference will be given to applicants who have recent Dialysis, or Renal nursing experience

 

In addition, applicants must have skill and experience in the following elements of nursing practice:

*  Critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution

*  Patient & family teaching

*  Aseptic technique and Body Substance Precautions

*  Experience in the use of computerized medical equipment

*  Excellent communication skills

*  Experience with acute renal failure would be considered an asset

*  Recent nephrology certification would be an asset

*  Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

 

 

Salary Range:  $33.230 to 47.570
