The Bioethicist, in collaboration with Administration and clinical staff and in contact with patients, students, clients and

public, will provide leadership, teaching, research, and expert advice on ethical issues to Thunder Bay Regional

Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) and collaborating institutions (St. Joseph's Care Group, North West Local Health

Integration Network).

 

Employment Requirements:

 

*  Doctoral or Masters Degree in a field relevant to bioethics

*  Experience functioning as a bioethicist in hospital and/or university environment for at least 2 years;

*  Knowledge and experience in conducting clinical ethics consultations;

*  Experience in teaching University level bioethics;

*  Interest in and demonstrable track record of bioethics research and scholarship;

*  Interpersonal skills to assist staff, faculty, students, patients and public in negotiating ethical clinical

decision‑making
