                                                              1 ‑ Full Time ‑ Respiratory Therapist

                    Respiratory Therapy Services for Inpatient Programs – St. Joseph’s Care Group

 

 

Reporting to the Manager of Outpatient Rehabilitative Care Services at SJCG, with a matrix reporting relationship for

respiratory therapy practice to the Director, Health Professions and Collaborative Practice at TBRHSC.  The

Respiratory Therapist will provide assessment, intervention and education to all inpatient clients of St. Joseph's

Hospital that require respiratory services, including Long‑term Ventilation Program.   The Respiratory Therapist will

support the inpatient teams where required and also be available to support and provide coverage to the St. Joseph's

Care Group outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation and COPD programs.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

 

* Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario

* Certified Respiratory Educator;

* A Certified Tobacco Educator is an asset;

* Clinical experience in the principles and delivery of home and long‑term ventilation programs;

* Teaching experience and competence for transferring knowledge and skills to clients, families and other health care

providers;

* Demonstrated skills for providing exceptional client and family centred care;

* Excellent communication, leadership, critical reasoning and problem solving skills;

* Excellent interprofessional team skills, and the ability to work independently;

* Dedicated to continuing professional development

 

 

Salary Range:  $31.870 to 44.010
