To ensure all malignant and nonmalignant disease cases have been coded; ensure workload is verified; provide

accurate and comprehensive statistical data to support studies, audits and research; supports data requirements for

administrative purposes and maintains confidentiality of patient information by ensuring all legal and ethical

requirements are met.




*  Graduate of recognized Health Record Technician program with current membership with the Canadian Health

Information Management Association

*  Minimum two years experience with ICD‑10/ICD‑0 coding

*  Experience in Cancer Care Ontario Databook requirements, extracts and processes

*  Working Knowledge of TNM staging classification of malignant tumors

*  Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.

*  Analytical ability to manipulate data using report writing software

*  Experience with report design and presentations

*  Ability to organize and prioritize duties

*   Effective interpersonal and communication skills

*   Ability to work independently



Salary Range:  $25.837 to 26.426
