                                                                1 ‑ Part Time (.5) ‑ Admin Assistant

                                                           Chief Of Staff Office Med & Acad Affairs


Reporting to the Director of Medical Affairs, the Administrative Assistant, Medical Affairs is responsible for providing

administrative support to the Medical Affairs Department. The Administrative Assistant, Medical Affairs will work

closely with the Credentialing Administrator, processing appointments and reappointments of privileged staff as well

as assisting with other related credentialing tasks. They will also provide administrative support to the Director of

Medical Affairs and the Medical Affairs Department.




*  Graduate from a recognized medical/office administration course or equivalent

*  Experience/training with medical terminology

*  A minimum of five years working in the medical field

*  Must possess excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, including both verbal and written communication

*  Knowledge of Public Hospital's Act, Hospital Bylaws, Rules and Regulations

*  Knowledge of various licensing bodies for each discipline

*  Proficiency in computer applications using Microsoft Office, Groupwise, Meditech (Provider Dictionary)

*  Use of dictaphone/transcription equipment and software

*  Demonstrated initiative and good judgment in problem‑solving and decision‑making

*  Must have regular work attendance
