1 ‑ Part Time (.5) ‑ Child Youth Worker

Child/Adolescent Mental Health Unit

Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Child/Adolescent Mental Health Services, the Child and Youth Worker will

participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team. They will provide assessment, intervention and treatment for

youth with severe emotional behavioural difficulties and complex unstable mental health disorders.



* Diploma from a recognized Child and Youth Worker Program

* 3‑5 years experience in residential services working with emotionally disturbed children/adolescents

* Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

* Able to implement a variety of treatment strategies and behavior management techniques

* Crisis intervention training

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Able to establish therapeutic relationship and facilitate a safe, structured and supportive milieu

* Excellent documentation/written skills



Salary Range: $26.840 to 30.930
