About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

Reporting to the Regional Surgical Services Program Director with a matrix report to the TBRHSC Director of

Surgery and Chief of Surgery, the Regional Central Intake Administrator is essential to the success of the TBRHSC

and Regional Surgical Services programs.

 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

*  Must provide patient care or services in a manner that is consistent with TBRHSC mission, vision, values and

reflects the philosophy of patient and family centred care.

*  Must treat all information concerning patient affairs or illnesses and/or hospital business as confidential, privileged

information, which must never be discussed except in the course of duty.

*  Must be accountable for ensuring the safest patient care and services and for recognizing and reporting safety

incidents or potentially unsafe conditions.

*  Must abide by the Code of Conduct, work to foster an inclusive environment that honours each individuals

uniqueness, and provides a culturally safe experience through respect and compassion for all staff, professional

staff, patients, and community partners.

*  Support data quality and maintenance of the Novari eRequest and Access to Care (ATC) software applications

across surgeon offices that book into operating and endoscopy time across 5 hospital sites.

*  Function as the key resource for Surgical Central Intake, Regional Specialty Clinics, TBRHSC /Regional Operation

Rooms and specialist offices.

*  Assist the program directors with capacity planning for regional surgery through provision of data and reports.

*  Responsible for acting as an access point for external resources; data collection and analysis; monitoring OR and

Endo wait times on behalf of the chief of surgery.

*  Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure ongoing evaluation and continued streamlining of

coordinated access to care

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

*  Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a certificate in Secretarial Arts/Office Administration or equivalent

experience (3 years minimum)

*  Previous adult education and program development, implementation and evaluation experience

 

Skills/Abilities:

*  Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize and meet deadlines, and work independently with members

the local and regional portfolio

*  Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and foster relationships with individuals from various and

diverse backgrounds, both within and outside of organization

*  Is a self starter, has initiative required to act under minimal supervision, multitask and prioritize to meet various

deadlines.

*  Proficiency in Novari eRequest and Access to Care (ATC) software, Microsoft Office Suite Programs and

Groupwise required.

 

Assets:

*  Experience in regional health care with a working knowledge of local and regional health care systems.

Salary Range:  $36.730 to 45.910
